I would be glad to give you my highest recommendation.
The bodies of our "All Aluminum" modular bodies are manufactured utilizing an all aluminum aircraft grade 5052-T6 alloy construction to insure long-term durability, corrosion resistance and strength. The frame of the body is manufactured using 2" x 2" x 0.125" aluminum tube sections except for the floor section which are 2 1/2" x 3" x 0.349" 'I' Beams. All structural tubing being welded together utilizing aluminum extrusions at the roofline and the corners. The aluminum extrusions add great strength and durability. The roofline extrusion incorporates a drip rail. Upright structural tubes are spaced not more than 16" apart for maximum strength. The under floor support 'I' Beams are either 4" or 6" aluminum 'I' Beams depending upon the vehicle chassis. All structural members are welded for maximum strength.
The outer skin of the body is 0.125" aluminum sheet for maximum strength and resistance to damage from normal use. The 0.125 outer skin is bonded to the welded structural frame using a method of attachment, which yields a clean exterior surface. NO rivets are utilized to attach the outer skin to the structural frame. The structural frame is reinforced where necessary by welding in aluminum plates, tubes and sections. All door frames are welded into the structural frame. Bidder supplies semi trailers and vehicle bodies that are custom built specifically for the requirements of the customer.
MBF takes into account the operational requirements and the environment that the truck will be used. A conversion of an existing truck body is rarely acceptable in terms of vehicle strength, durability and finish. MBF recommends only an all aluminum body construction for Mobile Command Vehicles. The alternative use of sandwich panel and vacuum formed construction as used in the construction of normal freight trucks and riveted .090 skin to top hat rails as utilized in busses is not recommended due to strength limitations when access doors, mats and heavy equipment are installed into this type of vehicle body.
MBF Industries, Inc. offers a Five (5) year warranty on the structural integrity of the "All Aluminum" Body.
The vehicle body will be completely insulated with a minimum of 2" sprayed urethane foam for an insulation factor of not less than R-14. All gaps and penetrations will be sealed using a 50 year sealant.
The roof will be manufactured in .0125" 3003-T6 aluminum tread plate, continuously welded to roof perimeter extrusions and capable of supporting the weight of personnel, equipment, camera tripods, cable, etc.
The interior wall lining is usually comprised of 1/2" plywood lining with 26 oz. carpet applied as a finish to the walls and ceiling. Other finishes are utilized to meet customer requirements and where a high degree of sound insulation is required.
Exterior paint will be a two (2) part PPG Global System urethane paint with a five (5) year warranty. Standard color is white. Custom colors shall be available at additional cost.
