On September 2009, the North Miami Beach Police began a process to research, design, and select a vendor for a new Mobile Command Post. After meeting and inspecting over two dozen Command Vehicles in the South Florida area and speaking to a number of manufacturers our selection was easy. MBF Industries came highly regarded from two local police departments: Homestead Police Department and Hollywood Police Department.

After selecting MBF Industries, everything else became easy. The professionalism, commitment and knowledge of the MBF Team was outstanding. The quality of workmanship coupled with the care that your team, from the CEO to the manufacturer on the floor, was impressive. I wished that every vendor that we dealt with cared about the customer as your team did.

Even after taking delivery of our truck, your assistance to help us work out the "minor bugs" shows the dedication that MBF Industries has toward their customers.

We truly thank you for your efforts.

Sincerely,
Capt. A. Marciante

Lee County Sheriff's Office

As the Incident Management Commander for the Lee County Sheriff's Office I am involved in the majority of the large-scale incidents and events in the South West Florida Area. The one thing that most of these events have in common is the need for command and control, which in turn requires facilities. Frequently these events and incidents are not in areas where command and control facilities are nearby. This presented the Lee County Sheriff's Office with a significant challenge; A challenge that MBF Industries, Inc. aided us in meeting.

In 2007 the Lee County Sheriff's Office formed a team of personnel representing several divisions and disciplines within the Sheriff's Office, to research and evaluate mobile communications and command vehicle manufacturers. This team visited the plants where the vehicles are made, met with designers and sales personnel and spoke with previous customers. This process led the team to the selection of MBF Industries, Inc. of Sanford, Florida as the company we would trust to build our mobile communications and command vehicle.

Once MBF Industries, Inc. was selected we met with several members of the design and construction team at MBF to discuss the anticipated use of the new vehicle and features that we desired to be included in the vehicle. We found this process to be very beneficial to us as MBF personnel have tremendous experience in the design and use of these vehicles. They were able to take our desired and turn them into very efficient designs. MBF personnel thought of the long term ramifications of some of our ideas, which would have cost us a great deal of money in the future had not MBF personnel been so experienced and recognize the issues. The resulting design of the vehicle is very functional and practical while including many features other manufacturers either could not provide or charged a great deal more for.

With the design complete a proposal was prepared and contracts were signed. This began the process of building the vehicle. MBF personnel kept us informed of the progress of the manufacture of the chassis for our vehicle and then the actual construction of the vehicle. On several occasions we were able to visit the plant and examine their progress on our vehicle. This provided us with behind the scenes view of our vehicle and its construction.

Upon completion of our vehicle MBF personnel spent a great deal of time training us on the operation of the various systems and vehicle components. These same personnel have remained available post sale and delivery to be a resource to us for maintenance or additional equipment installation. Any service needs have been handled by MBF without issue and in a rapid and timely manner.

I found Mr. John Baker and his staff at MBF Industries, Inc. to be genuinely concerned about the needs of Public Safety in our area and in the area of all of his customers. MBF is not just a company building vehicles; they are a company providing public safety with some tools that are necessary to provide for the care and safety of our citizens and guests. Mr. Baker takes that responsibility very seriously and runs his business with the mission of his customers in mind. It is only because of the response of Mr. Baker and his staff at MBF that the Lee County Sheriff's Office was able to build and operate a first class mobile communications and command vehicle. Our vehicle is used frequently to provide and on scene command center. This has resulted in escaped criminals being apprehended, severe storm cleanup to be managed, Officers killed in the line of duty to be given a service of dignity and many other operations and incidents to be managed.

I frequently am told by members of other agencies involved in events and incidents in which our mobile communications and command vehicle is utilized in that our truck provides a great resource and facility from which to operate. With the configuration of all of the electronic equipment to the command space provided this vehicles had not failed to be functional in every mission it is assigned.

I have included a photo of our Mobile Communications and Command Vehicle in operation as the Incident Command Post for a week long missing child operation. The vehicle was the center of the operation providing command space, communications support and intelligence operation space.

I am happy to recommend MBF Industries, Inc. and the vehicles produced by them to any agency that wants the best solutions with the best features for their mobile system needs. A more responsive and resourceful company could not be found.

Respectfully,
Captain Rich Schnieders

I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for MBF Industries, Inc. In 2010, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department determined the need for mobile command and research platform vehicles. We conducted extensive research and met with various vendors before deciding on MBFIndustries.

MBF came to the table with extensive experience in the field and provided valuable insight throughout the procurement process. Their customer service is second only to their commitment and work product. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and I have been extremely pleased with the design, construction and customer service MBF has provided. They are truly committed to providing quality products and the highest level of customer satisfaction possible.

We have been so pleased with our experience with MBF that we contracted with them to design and build an additional vehicle for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. If you have any questions about our experience please don't hesitate to contact me at swillis@cmpd.org.

The City of North Las Vegas, Nevada, Police Department, contracted with MBF Industries, Inc. for the design and manufacture of our 40 foot Mobile Command Vehicle. Due to the complexity of our requirements and the weather conditions in Nevada, we evaluated several vendors before selecting MBF Industries, Inc. We found their products were built the closest to our expectations and application.

MBF's project management team worked closely with us to understand both, our budget and design requirements. The entire design and project management process went smoothly and was completed on time and on budget.

I am comfortable in recommending them as a vendor. If I can be of more assistance please feel free to contact me.

Respectfully,

The Allen Police Department began researching the feasibility of purchasing a Mobile Command Vehicle (MCV) in 2007. After securing local and grant funding, the department researched many of the companies that produce the vehicle. After researching vendors, seeing product demonstrations, evaluating prior customer references, conducting site visits and completing the bid process, the Allen Police Department had no trouble choosing MBF Industries as our vendor.

Once we completed our selection process, the department quickly moved into the production phase. During this phase, representatives of the department met with MBF's staff on several occasions. We also has regular status updates, emails, conference calls and discussions throughout the build process. The staff at MBF took time to fully answer our questions, address any concerns we had and assisted us through the production process. The MBF staff asked detailed questions and had a strong review process to insure that all of our needs were met and our MCV was exactly what we wanted. MBF was able to help us make critical choices and shared their experiences so that we could make educated decisions about our MCV.

In late 2008, the Allen Police Department took delivery of our MCV. The vehicle far exceeded everyone's expectations. Our MCV even had several additional options such as electrical plugs and network ports added in places for future growth and use. The staff at MBF fully trained our personnel in the operations and use of MCV in a step-by-step process. The MBF staff is very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions we had. Furthermore, after we returned to out department with the vehicle they provided superior customer service when we called with questions or needed refresher training.

Since taking delivery of the vehicle we have had very few service issues. On the rare occasions that something was broken, malfunctioned or just needed repair, MBF has been quick to address and issues and repairs. MBF even sent one of the technicians to our department to make repairs and adjustments after we took delivery of the vehicle. Additional training was also provided to us during this visit. MBF has continued to provide us with excellent customer service and support since taking delivery of the vehicle.

If you have any questions of comments, please contact our department representative, Lieutenant Ken Myers.

My name is Lieutenant Don Lucas, Commanding Officer of the Research and Evaluation Section of the Rochester New York Police Department. As you are aware, MBF Industries, Inc. (MBF) manufactures custom specialty vehicles for local, state and federal governments globally, law enforcement, the military and private entities. I am providing this letter recommendation as indication of our confidence in MBF.

In 2007, the City of Rochester was interested in purchasing two (2) forty (40) foot long trailers for our Neighborhood Empowerment Teams. As part of that purchasing process we visited the MBF facility and were quickly impressed with the high level of craftsmanship, quality of work and attention to detail demonstrated by all MBF employees. We were also very impressed with John Baker and the MBF staff's willingness and ability to meet our design needs. MBF was very willing to design the two (2) trailers to fit our exact needs and never attempted to persuade us to move in a direction that was not within our goals. They developed innovative solutions to our difficult design problems.

Due to our positive experience with the purchase of the Neighborhood Empowerment Team trailers, we are also purchasing three very complex specialty vehicles from MBF. Our Bomb Truck, SCUBA Truck and SWAT Truck have had their final inspections and we are awaiting their delivery. Through working with John Baker and his knowledgeable staff, we were able to custom design these complex vehicles, with state of the art technology, at an affordable price. We are also in the process of finalizing the design plans for a new Mobile Command Vehicle and Prisoner Transport Vehicle with MBF. All of the specialty vehicles that we have had manufactured for our Department have been built on time, with the given budget and delivered without and concerns or delays. I am confident that you will not be disappointed in selecting MBF to design and build any type of specialty vehicle that you may be in the need of purchasing.

On behalf of the City of Rochester Police Department, I wish to express by highest recommendation for MBF Industries, Inc. In closing, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions concerning their qualifications or abilities relative to your needs and expectations.

Thank you, I was telling Bryan yesterday how professional and friendly the entire MBF staff was to work with. My wife and I have built spec houses for the last 15 years so I know what kind of problems can occur. The quality of your construction coupled with the divisional leadership supported by every employee of the company leaves the customer with a strong sense of accomplishment at the end of the project verses working through a ton of issues that could easily occur with a complex design like this. Again our staff was really impressed with the workmanship!

We had FEMA in doing Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) last month. They actually used our Mobile Command Post for a mobile DRC. We tied their VPN into the I/O panel on the outside of the truck and ran 4 phones from that panel as well. This is the first time they’ve used a non-FEMA vehicle for that. The DRC manager told us he’s been in “hundreds” of command posts over the years and ours is the best he’s seen. He was pretty impressed with the build quality and layout. I thought I would pass that along to you. We’ve used it a few times now and are still really pleased with our unit.

Can you get me some information on the over-the-air TV antenna, we need to replace ours as a tree reached out and grabbed it right off of the truck.

Thanks again. We continue to be pleased,

Just going to let you know we had our big event this last weekend. The truck was deployed for about 18 hours and performed great. All of your equipment plus some that we added worked great. (we were off of shore power so the new generator was not used). Everyone was impressed with the truck and how functional it was. Thank you for all you and MBF have done…

I do have two questions for you though – who makes the flooring material and what is the best way to get the shine on the floor that it had when we picked it up?

Here are the photos of the inside, they do not do it justice. I tried to show all areas. If you need any area in more detail I’ll retake them. Just let me know. This truck turned out well, MBF did not spare anything in the construction and detail. We are very pleased with the truck and the assistance they provided in the layout. If we wanted it they made it fit and work.
