BODY FABRICATION: The bodies of our "All Aluminum" modular bodies are manufactured utilizing an all aluminum aircraft grade 5052-T6 alloy construction to insure long-term durability, corrosion resistance and strength. The frame of the body is manufactured using 2" x 2" x 0.125" aluminum tube sections except for the floor section which are 2 1/2" x 3" x 0.349" 'I' Beams. All structural tubing being welded together utilizing aluminum extrusions at the roofline and the corners. The aluminum extrusions add great strength and durability. The roofline extrusion incorporates a drip rail. Upright structural tubes are spaced not more than 16" apart for maximum strength. The under floor support 'I' Beams are either 4" or 6" aluminum 'I' Beams depending upon the vehicle chassis. All structural members are welded for maximum strength.

CERTIFICATION: This method and material used in the construction of the MBF Modular Body is compliant with the requirement of withstanding a 1G vertical roof load, evenly distributed, without loss of body integrity.
Construction Method:
Walls: 2"x2"x.125 6063-T5 AL tubing on 16" centers/skin .125 AL taped
Roof: 2"x2"x.125 6063-T5 AL tubing on 12" centers/.125 thread plate taped
Floor: 3" I-Beam AL 6063-T5 on 12" centers
The outer skin of the body is 0.125" aluminum sheet for maximum strength and resistance to damage from normal use. The 0.125 outer skin is bonded to the welded structural frame using a method of attachment , which yields a clean exterior surface. NO rivets are utilized to attach the outer skin to the structural frame. The structural frame is reinforced where necessary by welding in aluminum plates, tubes and sections. All door frames are welded into the structural frame. Bidder supplies semi trailers and vehicle bodies that are custom built specifically for the requirements of the customer.
